Valmont Manufacturing Plant

Development of multi-disciplinary design documentation, including a conceptual design, building design along with securing the building permit decision, executive design, cost estimation documentation, replacement building design for the facility expansion (vertical extension), acceptance designs, and participation in obtaining required approvals, permits, and official opinions.

The project encompassed the expansion of the production hall to include a loading area and maintenance workshops, the vertical extension of the office building, the construction of a gatehouse building, a warehouse, an enclosure for technical gas cylinders, technical gas tanks, and equipment foundations, as well as site development and necessary technical infrastructure.

Industria developed comprehensive design documentation for the new manufacturing plant for Valmont, located on Sucharskiego Street in Siedlce. The investment involved the construction of a modern industrial facility dedicated to the production of steel lighting poles and telecommunication sheet metal structures manufactured from steel coils.

The centerpiece of the investment was a production hall spanning approximately 12,000 m², consisting of three industrial bays equipped with a total of seven overhead cranes. The project also included a covered loading and unloading zone, outdoor storage yards for finished products, a freestanding transfer shed equipped with an overhead crane, and an office/staff building.

The scope of the investment further incorporated the construction of a transformer station, road infrastructure, traffic routes, and technical infrastructure supporting the plant’s manufacturing and logistical processes. Storage yards were engineered with a high surface load capacity of at least 40 kN/m², allowing for the safe handling of heavy steel structures and technological transport.

A key design challenge was engineering the infrastructure to support automated manufacturing processes and integrating internal transport with the hall’s technological layout. Structural coordination between the facility’s framework, overhead crane systems, and the organization of storage and logistical processes was of paramount importance.
