Industria prepared comprehensive multi-disciplinary design and cost estimation documentation, as well as secured all necessary administrative decisions, for an investment carried out at the PGZ Naval Shipyard in Gdynia. The project aimed to create a modern storage, assembly, and staff/social facility supporting the hull consolidation and final fitting-out processes for vessels built under the “Miecznik” frigate program.

The scope of the investment encompassed the construction of a storage hall, a technical gas shelter, the redevelopment and expansion of existing shipyard structures, the modernization of the internal road network, and the preparation of technical and logistical infrastructure for manufacturing and assembly operations.

The project also involved redeveloping a portion of Hall A-11 into an office center along with an extension for a new annex, adapting Building A-36 into a guardhouse, and constructing a covered entrance gate, storage yards, and internal roads. The scope was complemented by demolition works and the upgrade of utility infrastructure across the shipyard grounds.

Industria was responsible for developing the conceptual design for the warehouse and road network, the building and technical designs, tender documentation, and a multi-disciplinary renovation design for converting hall spaces to storage use, complete with investor cost estimates.

A key challenge was integrating the new infrastructure into an operational shipyard environment and adapting the facilities to support the assembly and logistical processes required for constructing modern naval vessels. The project demanded multi-disciplinary coordination and phased execution to minimize impact on ongoing shipyard operations.

The investment serves as a vital element in enhancing the technical capabilities of the PGZ Naval Shipyard and strengthening the infrastructure supporting the execution of the “Miecznik” frigate program.
