Industria has developed comprehensive, multi-disciplinary engineering documentation for selected modules of the Central Integrated Clinical Hospital in Poznań, as part of an investment project encompassing the construction of an Emergency Department alongside a Clinical Centre for Emergency and Interventional Medicine. The project forms part of one of the largest healthcare infrastructure developments currently underway in Poland.
The scope of work included the preparation of architectural and structural concepts, multi-disciplinary building permit and execution designs, cost estimation documentation, and securing the final building permit decision. Industria was also responsible for preparing the documentation required for heritage conservation approvals and providing author’s supervision throughout construction. The entire technical documentation was developed utilizing BIM technology.
The project covered modules 3a, 4a, 4b, 5a, and 5b of the Central Integrated Clinical Hospital, together with an entrance pavilion, site development, and essential technical infrastructure. The documentation incorporated dedicated solutions for a modern Hospital Emergency Department and a highly specialized Clinical Centre for Emergency and Interventional Medicine.
A primary challenge involved coordinating multi-disciplinary documentation for a complex medical facility and harmonizing architecture, medical technology, and extensive MEP systems. The project required close collaboration across numerous specialist teams and a design workflow structured according to BIM methodology to streamline coordination and project data management.
Industria prepared comprehensive documentation across multiple engineering disciplines: architecture, HVAC/plumbing, electrical, telecommunications, low-voltage systems, medical gas systems, medical technology, and road infrastructure. The deliverable was a fully integrated design enabling the construction of state-of-the-art emergency and clinical infrastructure meeting contemporary medical standards.
The Central Integrated Clinical Hospital project in Poznań serves as a benchmark example of engineering design for advanced healthcare facilities.
