Industria participated in the execution of the “DCT Gdańsk Terminal T3 Project” – one of the largest and most advanced port infrastructure investments in the Baltic Sea region. The expansion of Baltic Hub increased the terminal’s handling capacity to 4.5 million TEUs per year, strengthening Gdańsk’s position as a strategic container hub in Europe.
Industria’s scope of work encompassed developing design documentation for the structural, electrical, telecommunications, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) disciplines, preparing executive and as-built documentation, as well as securing required approvals and industry decisions. The team was also responsible for author’s supervision.
The project demanded advanced infrastructure works, including the construction of a 36-hectare artificial island. Terminal T3 was equipped with a 717-meter quay wall featuring a 18-meter depth, tailored to service the world’s largest container ultra-large vessels.
On Industria’s side, structural engineers and electrical and telecommunications specialists were involved. The scope of design work covered, among other elements, the majority of reinforced concrete structures, lighting systems, and kilometers of medium- and low-voltage cable infrastructure.
The investment also incorporated environmentally conscious solutions, including the use of low-CO₂ emission materials and modern, eco-friendly quay infrastructure.
The Baltic Hub T3 project stands as a prime example of high-complexity port infrastructure execution, requiring multi-disciplinary coordination, integration of industrial systems, and engineering design for critical infrastructure of strategic significance to maritime logistics and transport.
