Industria has developed comprehensive design and cost documentation for the investment project entitled “Construction of Energy Security Systems at the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia.” The project aimed to enhance the power supply reliability of one of Poland’s most important military universities through the modernization of power infrastructure and the implementation of advanced energy management systems.
The scope of work included the preparation of a conceptual design, multi-disciplinary engineering documentation, and cost estimates, obtaining the required administrative permits, as well as providing author’s supervision during project execution.
The project encompassed the comprehensive overhaul of the internal power grid alongside design solutions for backup power systems, generator sets, renewable energy sources, and energy storage facilities. The documentation also incorporated solutions enabling the integration of all power sources and the efficient management of the entire campus energy infrastructure.
The goal of the investment was to increase the energy and fire safety of the Naval Academy, improve the reliability of the facilities’ power supply, and optimize electricity consumption and operational costs. The implemented solutions enhance the infrastructure’s resilience to grid failures and ensure uninterrupted operations for the university’s critical facilities.
A unique challenge involved carrying out design work within an active military university featuring complex technical infrastructure. The project required precise coordination across an area with extensive underground utility networks, heritage-protected structures, and within the boundaries of a restricted military site.
Industria was responsible for coordinating all engineering disciplines, preparing documentation covering power engineering solutions, building services, and supporting infrastructure for modern energy security systems. Currently, the company provides author’s supervision over the project’s execution, ensuring the correct implementation of the approved design solutions.
