Design works, interdisciplinary coordination, and author’s supervision during the construction of the Scientific and Didactic Center with a Cadaveric Training Facility, along with a connecting bridge between the hospital’s Rehabilitation Building and Buildings H-J of the Prof. Adam Gruca Independent Public Clinical Hospital CMKP in Otwock.
The Center’s building, which will operate under the name Collegium Orthopaedicum, was designed within the internal courtyard and consists of two underground levels. Its form harmoniously integrates into the surrounding environment, taking into account the existing infrastructure and terrain characteristics. The southern elevation is the only fully exposed part of the structure. The design also features a green roof planted with meadow vegetation.
As part of the investment, a connecting walkway is planned to provide a direct link between the Rehabilitation Center building and other medical facilities within the complex.
Designed to accommodate approximately 400 participants, the Scientific and Didactic Center with a Cadaveric Training Facility will host lectures and practical workshops. Participants will have the opportunity to thoroughly familiarize themselves with medical procedures and practice surgical techniques on specimens in conditions closely simulating a real operating theater.
