Industria developed complete, multi-disciplinary design documentation for an investment carried out at the PGZ Naval Shipyard in Gdynia, which included the construction of a hull hall for the “Miecznik” frigate program and a production hall with an administrative and staff building. The project was awarded 1st Place in the “Construction of the Year 2024” (Budowa Roku 2024) competition in the industrial facilities category.

The development was among the most demanding industrial and infrastructure projects undertaken in the Polish shipbuilding sector. Its centerpiece is the 43-meter-high hull hall (currently the tallest hall of its kind in the country). The facility was designed to support the execution of the “Miecznik” frigate program and state-of-the-art shipbuilding production processes.

The scope of the project also included a production hall integrated with a four-storey administrative and staff building equipped with a Building Management System (BMS), as well as comprehensive site development, modernization of the quay, and technical infrastructure upgrades. The total usable floor area of the investment reached approximately 15,121 m².

Industria was responsible for developing the architectural and technological concept, site plan, building permit design, technical design, and tender documentation complete with cost estimates and bills of quantities. The project also encompassed obtaining all necessary administrative decisions and performing multi-disciplinary author’s supervision.

A key challenge was coordinating complex technological and infrastructural processes while maintaining an extremely tight schedule. The entire project was completed within 18 months, which, given the scale and complexity of the investment, represented a significant organizational and engineering achievement.

The project was fully delivered using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
